At Alta Design Works, we believe that community rebuilds community. As a dedicated design build firm and custom home builder, we are here to help our neighbors navigate the entire residential construction journey.

In the wake of the Eaton Fire, we are committed to empowering one another to recover, rebuild, and thrive. We’re opening our local space to host gatherings, educational sessions, and community-led conversations that move us all forward. Whether you have questions about your construction timeline, need help securing a complex county permit, or want to sit down with a trusted architect to draft floor plans, our doors are open. If you’re working on something that uplifts, informs, or inspires, we’d love to explore how we can support you and help bring it to life.

The Altadena Coalition was formed by residents who, like many in our community, lost their homes and businesses in the fire. We came together not only for fire rebuilding, but to make sure the home remodeling and new construction process reflects the values and character of the place we love. Through open conversation, shared resources, and a community-first approach, we’re working to support homeowners, reduce displacement, and help shape a future that honors Altadena’s history and spirit.

Our team includes a trusted network of professionals, from structural engineers and expert contractors to specialists in project management, fire safety, and recovery support. We know that hiring a general contractor or submitting a building permit application can feel overwhelming. We may not have all the answers, but we’re here to walk with you, advocate where we can, and help connect the dots so families aren’t facing this alone.
