Alta Design Works and The Altadena Coalition’s new Community Resource Center — a place of hope, collaboration, and renewal for Altadena following the fires.
More than just a building, it is a Community Center, Co-Op Workspace, and Event Venue created to connect neighbors, share resources, and inspire our collective rebuilding journey.
Inside the new Community Resource Center,
you’ll find 6 event spaces designed to meet community needs:
1. Co-op Space – Offices, conference rooms, WiFi, printing, content creation, meetings, and safe space for residents.
2. Rebuilding Resources Hub – Vetted contractors, insurance review, architects, rebuild workshops, grants, and infrastructure support.
3. Health & Wellness Partnership – With UCLA Medical, Charles Drew University, Trauma Resource Center, UC Riverside, YMCA and more, offering long-term programs: group therapy, art therapy, clinical care, and holistic mental health resources.
4. Entertainment Experience – Comedy nights, live music, arts and poetry showcases, and training events.
5. Education & Technology Access – Computer resources, tutoring, and programs for youth.
6. Senior & Community Events – Dedicated space for seniors, gatherings, and intergenerational activities.
